A few Digital Photography Hints
It’s obvious that a digital display on your Pc can not return all the colors existent in nature as 100% accurate, but if you need correct shades and don’t know what to do anymore, here are a few tips:
- try not to have sunlight glowing directly on your monitor
- Degauss weekly.
- Dust can be harmful in time and can affect brightness, so dust the display often.
- Avoid wallpapers, better keep your desktop in just one color, or at least change desktop pictures weekly.
Against popular belief, leaving the camera turned on when you are at a party or somewhere where you will be taking pictures frequently can actually help you save battery life. When the camera is turned on it does certain things like reading memory cards, flashing the display and so on, that spend more batter life than you saved by turning it off for one minute.
Modern digital photography apparatus allow us to enhance our pictures with special effects as we take them. As you would expect, there are advantages and disadvantages. Seeing the effect onto the picture as we take it could help us choosing a better angle of approach or a different scene. The image dimensions, with are smaller, means it lack quality and this could be seen as a disadvantage.
When accessorizing your digital camera, don’t’ forget to buy the most important things : another memory card, just in case you run out of memory in the most important day of you digital photography life and of course, a set of replacing batteries, for the same reason. It would be a shame to lose a wonderful picture just because you forgot to buy these things, and remembered to buy a casing or god knows what other accessories you might think of. Some people do not buy an extra memory card and tend to over compress their pictures, so that more can fit on their existing card.
