@RyanTheTuber another place you can get backdrops is at your local fabric store and just hang them up on something like a shower curtain rod going this route pretty much means there is an endless possibilities for colors and patterns

@RyanTheTuber Check BHPhotoVideo (dot) com. They have a good selection of backdrops and such under their Studio Lighting category. Also, Adorama and BHPhoto are great places for anything else photo related.

Help!!!
I just bought a battery grip for my Canon T2i. I have two batteries. One is the Canon OEM Lithium Battery that comes with the camera. And another one is a different brand. The Canon battery has 7.2V and the other one is 7.4V. Do you think these two batteries could come together in the grip? Will it not damage my camera?
I asked this because one of amazon customer said he bought a battery that’s 7.4V and it’s giving him wrong battery life bars in the cameras LCD.

Where can you get those white/black backgrounds? The only alternative I have is white bed sheets but they have creases unlike those stuff they use in studios

Sometimes shadows look good and in other occasions they need to be worked out.

@jshawnh I wouldn’t mind some private lessons with the model.

I am betting the high-key example wouldn’t have looked high-key if only natural light was used on that white background. They tend to look pretty grey without a lot of additional light.

do you give private lessons?

This was interesting. I would have liked to have seen the finished photographs for each both the high key and the low key. It also would have been helpful to see what lighting was used in the low key scenario.
